Version 1.2 "999 Nights" Is Now Live

2026-07-08·2 min read·Editorial Team

Version 1.2, subtitled "999 Nights," went live on July 8, 2026, and it's one of the bigger content drops NTE has had since launch.

What's new

999 Nights is a new permanent game mode set on the Warren Continent, styled after tabletop fantasy RPGs. You build a party, gear them with mode-exclusive weapons and equipment, and work through a full campaign culminating in an encounter with a Crimson Dragon-style final boss. It's replayable, with each run offering a chance to find something new.

Two new S-Class Espers joined the roster this patch:

  • Shinku — a Cosmos-attribute damage dealer who builds up and then consumes unique buffs through her Ultimate for a big damage spike.
  • Iroi — an Anima-attribute Esper rounding out the patch's second banner phase, arriving alongside "The Wrong Gate" story arc.

Platform expansion: NTE also launched on Steam and the Epic Games Store this patch, with full cross-play and cross-progression from day one for PC players who'd been playing via the standalone launcher.

Free character selector

Players who log in before the patch cycle ends (around August 19) can claim a Summer Special Gift Pack, which includes an S-Class Standard Character Selection Box — letting you pick any standard S-Class character of your choice for free. If you're missing a core standard unit for your team comps, this is worth grabbing before it expires.

Should you save currency for 1.3?

Early word is that Version 1.3 is expected around August 19, following two more character reveals — Zankou and Linko (the latter reportedly getting a redesign). If neither of those looks like a priority pull for your account, there's no harm topping off your current banner wants first — pity carries over between banners regardless.
